AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Artistventure Concerts, together with its partners /kor/ productions, Progressive Musicians, Sound Espressivo, and Virtual Concert Halls are looking for soloists for engagements in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 concert seasons with various orchestras around the world.

Audition is open for the following instruments/voices:

  • Piano

  • Violin

  • Viola

  • Cello 

  • Double bass

  • Flute

  • Oboe/Corno Inglese

  • Clarinet

  • Bassoon/Contrabassoon

  • French horn

  • Trumpet

  • Guitar

  • Soprano

  • Mezzo Soprano

  • Contralto

  • Tenor

  • Countertenor

  • Baritone

  • Bass/Baritone

  • Bass



 

APPLICATION DEADLINES
  • DEADLINE EXTENDED: APPLY BY NOV 1

  • Selected performers will be invited for the Final Round of the Auditions via Live Stream on 4 and 5 December 2022

  • Final selection of the soloist(s) will be announced on 10 December 2022

 

GENERAL RULES

  • Incomplete applications (including failure to pay the application fee) will not be processed

  • Application fee is not refundable

  • Decisions on selection are final and cannot be appealed. However, a commentary about performance from the artistic committee may be provided upon request (in English language only)
     

VIDEO MATERIAL

Auditionees are required to submit video recording materials for the audition. Recording should be a fair representation of the contestants' abilities but does not need to be of a professional quality. Auditionees must submit either one or two video recordings.

The repertoire choice is free; with no time limit. 

Accompaniment

Auditionees will not be discriminated against for their choice of accompaniment (live piano accompaniment, track, or no accompaniment)

Final Round of the Auditions via Live Stream

Auditionees prepare a piece or a movement from the repertoire list 

Instrumentalists: 

  • If you audition with a movement of a Concerto, prepare up to 15 minutes 

  • If you audition with a full Concerto, prepare material from each movement (up to 30 minutes total)
     

Vocalists: 

  • Prepare two or three arias or songs of up to 15 minutes in total 

  • For larger vocal works up to 30 minutes in total

FINAL OUTCOME 

A selected group of performers will receive an invitation to perform with a live Orchestra in the capacity of a soloist.

Auditionees who do not advance to the next round will be invited to a specially organized workshop/masterclass (online) focused on audition preparation and everyone will receive a participation certificate.

THE ARTISTIC COMMITTEE

The Artistic Committee evaluates the video material submitted, and the final selections of winners are based on the same recordings submitted.

​MISCELLANEOUS

  • Organizers reserve the right to make any changes in the rules, schedule and other information related to the award

  • Underage* auditionees shall be under the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians. They must be supervised at all times by their parents or legal guardians.  
     

*LEGAL AGE IS DETERMINED ACCORDING TO LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS OF THE COUNTRY OR JURISDICTION OF AUDITIONEES’  PRIMARY RESIDENCE

 

  • Organizers are not responsible for any damage or theft of instruments or personal belongings of participants.

  • Auditionees agree and authorize the organizers of the concert to use their image for any publicity and activity related to the event.

  • Auditionees are required to provide a high-resolution photo for the publicity purposes

  • Auditionees waive all rights to television broadcasting remuneration. There will be no financial remuneration for their performance.

  • All auditionees are responsible for their own expenses (travel, accommodations, accompanists, etc)

  • The official language of the audition is English.
