gala + season announcement

/kor/ productions' first annual spring Gala will take place digitally on May 7th from 7-8:15 PM CST. Johanna Moffitt, Artistic Director, and Emily Cox, Managing Director, will host a telethon-style evening celebrating /kor/'s 2020-21 season, our recent successes and awards, and the announcement of our 2021-22 season! There will also be a silent auction full of items from both beloved Chicagoland vendors and artists across the US! Associated vendors will include Revolution Brewery, Uncle Nearest Whiskey, Chicago Reader, We will be featuring outstanding talent from some of our incredible performers from this past season, as well as introducing some of our esteemed Board members (over a cocktail or two)! The event is free and open to the public--come laugh, sing and celebrate /kor/'s amazing past season, and toast to our future season!

Aaron Crouch made his his debut appearance with /kor/ productions as the morally outraged Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.  Aaron recently stunned us with his performances in the Houston Grand Opera Concert of Arias and up next will be appearing in Semele with Pittsburgh Opera and Blue at Michigan Opera Theater.   

Sara Lucille Law previously appearance with /kor/ productions as that injured ingenue Donna Anna. Praised for her ‘pinpoint coloratura’, Sara uses her electric presence onstage to intensify her characters. Sara was recently announced as a Finalist in the American Prize’s annual voice competition.  Upcoming performances include appearances with Opera on the Rocks, Wilmington Concert Opera and Peach State Opera.
